In just a few months, it has become a must-visit destination. Its success is driven by Paul Joubert, a passionate young restaurateur and epicurean, whose aim is to offer you a delightful gourmet experience at his first creation.
Le Bien Heureux brewery is 100% homemade!
From planning to construction, interior design, cooking and plating, nothing escaped his attention. To ensure the success of his venture, Paul works closely with local producers, with whom he creates a menu that varies according to seasonal produce. As Paul so aptly puts it: “Here, we love good produce, local producers and flavours that change with the seasons.”
A gourmet menu combining land and sea
We love that they feature Fromentine oysters delivered fresh every morning, marrowbone straight from the local butcher, and the famous fried smelt as starters.
When it comes to meat, we love to savour the beer-roasted shank cooked in three stages, or the beef fillet cooked on a hot stone, and the authentic local artisan andouillette sausage.
On the seafood side, we offer fish from the market, which varies depending on the catch of the day. We also love the grilled sardines from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. Please note that our chips are homemade, like everything else here, using potatoes from the north of France, which are definitely the best for this dish! And for dessert, who can resist our famous French toast with praline whipped cream?
